KLM Airline
For this project I decided to make a campaign for KLM Dutch Airline and I to based it on the concept of famous art pieces deciding to 'go on holiday'.

Included is my process from concept thumbnails to final concept and then execution.

The Challenge

With pandemic restrictions getting lifted, this campaign aims to explore how KLM can both maintain customer retention and attract new customers.

The Idea

Michelangelo's David and The thinker are two well aged masterpieces known throughout the world which made them perfect for the campaign. They are famous figures that 'need a break' so they're going to use KLM. These statues are famous in Western culture and this made them ideal for the campaign targeting the Upper middle class.

I used the same typeface used in past KLM ads but instead of white or light blue, I used navy blue for good contrast. Also instead of making a direct reference to planes like their past ads I opted to imply travelling using suitcases and surroundings for a more subtle but direct message.

Process

Michelangelo's David is dressed in clothes to represent a figure that's already decided and on his way while the thinker is still contemplating so remains undressed. I did this to make two iconic figures in Art culture relatable to the average person.
